The Ground State Society

The private, members-only network for quantum founders. Built early, on purpose — to be the default room as the field grows tenfold.

Operated by Christian Perez, founder of Altivum Inc. — a Green Beret veteran who builds quantum systems on AWS.

02 The Problem

You run a quantum company. Where do you actually talk about it?

Quantum is small and competitive. Founders chase the same customers, watch the same agencies, and recruit from the same scarce talent pool. The conversations that matter — burn rate, a down round, a churned pilot, a co-founder dispute — cannot happen in public.

01Open Discords & consortia

Public, by design

Five-thousand-member channels built for students, researchers, and vendors. Uncurated, unvetted, zero confidentiality. You are one stakeholder among many — and you can’t discuss a down round there.

02Accelerators

Over in months

Excellent while they last — then the cohort disperses. Time-limited, gated by stage and geography, and there is no room to come back to.

03Generalist founder networks

Nobody speaks qubits

Hampton, EO, and YPO have the peer structure — at $500–$833+ a month — but your “peer group” is a SaaS CEO and a real-estate operator. No quantum capital network, no grant literacy, no domain depth.

04Conferences

Once a year, no follow-up

Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week, APS March Meeting: high-density, episodic, public. The hallway conversation ends when the badge comes off.

∅ — the white space

No one offers a curated, confidential, ongoing peer network exclusively for operating quantum founders. That white space is The Ground State Society.

fig. 02Wave–particle duality. One system, two true descriptions — a continuous wave, and discrete samples of the same curve. Both are the network.

03 The Proof

Receipts, not vibes.

Premium founder networks are a proven category. Curated rooms measurably change company outcomes. And quantum is the rare market that is both flooded with capital and still small enough to convene.

Every alternative has at least one structural gap. Payment creates skin in the game, curation creates the signal, and confidentiality makes the real conversations possible.

04 Inside the Round

What $300 a month actually buys.

Two promises, deliberately: the room — an elite peer network you cannot reach cold — and the acceleration — concrete resources that move your company forward.

A The Room

  • 01

    Curated peer circles

Confidential mastermind circles of 6–10 founders, matched by stage and modality — hardware, software, sensing, networking, post-quantum. Recurring, facilitated, structured.

  • 02

    Vetted member directory

Searchable by company, modality, stage, and cluster. Find the only other founder solving cryogenic control — in minutes.

  • 03

    High-signal private channel

Founders only. No spam, no vendor pitches — norms enforced. The reason members open the app daily.

  • 04

    Members-only events & annual summit

Timed to the conference circuit — IEEE Quantum Week, Q2B, APS March Meeting — so the network convenes where you already travel.

B The Acceleration

  • 05

    Curated capital access

Shared fundraising intelligence — who is writing checks, timing, terms. Member-only investor days and warm introductions to deep-tech and quantum-focused investors, earned as the network matures.

  • 06

    Expert office hours

Recurring sessions with quantum-fluent specialists you can’t easily reach cold: deep-tech VCs, IP and patent attorneys, enterprise and government BD operators, cloud architects.

  • 07

    The Quantum Operator’s Library

Living, member-only playbooks: raising a deep-tech round, structuring SBIR and grant funding, selling quantum pilots to enterprises, hiring scarce quantum talent.

  • 08

    Partner perks & credits

Negotiated cloud credits and legal/IP discounts — hard-dollar value you can point to from day one.

  • 09

    Customer & pilot access

Curated introductions to enterprise and government buyers running quantum pilots — earned as the network matures. We tell you what’s real.

The ROI receipt

Partner credits, legal discounts, and expert sessions carry hard-dollar value before a single introduction is made. Quantum founders already spend $3,000–$10,000 a year on conferences alone — this is the room those trips are trying to find.

And the asymmetry: at $3,600 a year, a single warm intro that leads to a $100K check would return roughly thirty times the fee. We don’t promise that outcome — we build the room where it happens.

05 The Ask

If you’re building quantum, you should be in the room.

One action. The founding cohort is forming now — 15–25 vetted quantum founders, by application only.

Fair questions

Why pay $300 a month when free quantum communities exist?

Five structural reasons. Curation creates the signal floor open Discords can never reach. Payment creates skin in the game — paying members show up and share real information. Confidentiality is enforced, which makes conversations about burn, down rounds, and disputes possible. Warm capital intros have asymmetric value — one term sheet can return years of fees. And structured peer accountability with founders who actually understand quantum milestones has no free equivalent.

What do I get for bringing another founder in?

A month free. Refer a founder who passes vetting and joins, and your next month’s membership is waived. The network grows by vouching — and vouching is rewarded.

Who qualifies for The Round?

Founders and co-founders of operating quantum startups — across hardware, software, sensing, networking, and post-quantum. Funding stage is not the bar; the vetting is. If you’re building a real quantum company, apply — and The Signal stays free for every quantum builder either way.

I’m an engineer, researcher, or investor. Is there a place for me?

Yes — The Signal is free and open to every quantum builder: the newsletter, public webinars, and the open community channel. Investors and ecosystem allies participate through the Patrons & Partners tier — valuable to the network, never seated inside the confidential peer circles.

How confidential is it, really?

A plain-language member agreement is required at join, and peer circles run under enforced, Chatham House-style norms. Quantum is small and competitive — confidentiality isn’t a feature of the product, it is the product.

Can I expense it?

Most members can. At $3,600 a year, membership costs less than a single conference trip with travel — and quantum founders typically spend $3,000–$10,000 a year on the circuit.

What does the founding cohort get?

A locked-in founding rate that never goes up, a permanent founding badge, and a real hand in shaping the network. Early members are helping build the room they’re paying for — the terms acknowledge that.
